Bio

My name is Chris Ott, a freelance Producer and Photographer based in Portland, OR. I have spent the last decade at the intersection of high-pressure production and creative storytelling. My career started with a camera at local esports events and a background in automotive sales. That combination taught me how to capture a moment while never losing sight of the business goal.

Most recently, I spent my time at Columbia Sportswear, where I evolved through two very different roles. I started in the logistical trenches as a Production Assistant, managing the scheduling and crews for over 1,000 shoots and a roster of 80+ contractors. That operational foundation led to a promotion to Content Producer, where I finally got to merge logistics with craft. I handled everything from building sets and directing video to the final edit in Premiere and After Effects.

Before Columbia, I was traveling the world with brands like Mastercard, Activision, and Logitech G. Whether I was shooting the League of Legends World Championships in Seoul or directing commercial campaigns for the Logitech G Cloud and Astro Gaming lines, my work has always been about one thing: making technical products look and feel human.

Today, my photography lives in nationwide retail kiosks at Best Buy and Target, and my footage helps brands tell stories that actually stick. I am a "one-stop-shop" who understands that a great image is only half the battle. The other half is the production that gets it across the finish line.
